The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) was enacted to jumpstart the US economy and drive it out of the recession. This act earmarked 787 billion dollars to be provided by the federal government for investment in infrastructure, education, and health care.
One of the requirements of the recovery act is that organizations that receive funds for projects must report on the outcomes of the projects they invest in. That reporting must be timely and accurate, and also report on outcomes and objects. Recipients of Stimulus funds are currently compelled to begin reporting on October 10, 2009.
For this Report, Aberdeen Group surveyed 102 executives and managers in government and education to understand their preparations for the reporting mandates associated with the ARRA. Read on to learn what these executives and managers plan to do to meet the reporting and compliance mandates.
